Information on Montana DUI and Ignition Interlock Laws
Montana DUI law requires license suspension for those convicted of driving under the influence (DUI) with a blood alcohol concentration (BAC) of .08 or more or those who refuse to take a BAC test at the time of their arrest.
For a 1st conviction, you’ll receive a six-month suspension. For a 2nd conviction or more within five years, you’ll receive a one-year suspension.
Courts can also order additional treatment sanctions and require the installation of an ignition interlock device.
