New Mexico may have the toughest drunk driving laws in the country, but there are big reasons for running such a strict state. New Mexico DWI laws reflect its place in the top of the list for alcohol and drug problems in the U.S., making it difficult to brag about those tough laws in light of the problems causing such restrictions each year.
Even with those tough New Mexico DWI laws, people still manage to find ways to drink and drive.
